Public radio listeners may know Alexis Cuadrado for his music for shows like The New Yorker Radio Hour and Studio 360, but Cuadrado is also a sought-after bassist and a prolific composer and bandleader. Back in January - you know, the Before Times - he premiered some new music for old silent films as part of our New Sounds Live series. One of them was this music for The Consequences of Feminism, a tongue in cheek short film by Alice Guy-Blache, the first woman to direct movies. Thursday evening, Aug. 6, Cuadrado and Friends revisit that score and much more music, as part of his livestreaming concert via Ori-Gen.
